The Toyota AE86 is a small front engine, rear wheel drive corolla that was manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation. The AE86 was first introduced in 1983 and was produced until 1987. Powered by Toyota s 4A-GE engine, the AE86 weighed only 2,300 lbs and had a weight ratio of 50:50, making handling predictable and easy. Because of this, the AE86 was a very popular option for the drifting community in Japan.
